COMMITTEE ON ECUMENICAL AND SOCIAL RELATIONS

Chairperson:

Mr. J. B. Danquah

Functions

  • Advise on relations with others, Christian and non-Christian.
  • Implement ecumenical and inter-faith programmes.
  • Help pursue interventions that promote the contextualization of Christianity in the Community.
  • Organize Conferences, Symposia, Games and other Programmes among the Congregations of the District and between Sister Churches in the Community.
  • Organize and/or facilitate the organization of Christian Home Werk and Bible Week Celebrations within the District and the Community.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session

COMMITTEE ON CHURCH LIFE AND NURTURE

Chairperson:

Mr. Eric Kyeremeh

Functions

  • Advise Session on and promote the work of the Generational Groups.
  • Advise on how to practically enrich and enhance the worship life of the District.
  • Help in practical ways to raise the standard of music in the District.
  • Ensure the use of manuals and syllabi in the District.
  • Advise on the pursuit of programmes to promote capacity building and lay training in the District.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.

COMMITTEE ON DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES

Chairperson:

Mrs. Miriam Ballmoos

Functions

  • Pursue programmes that ensure the maintenance of a good and healthy environment.
  • Implement activities for the celebration of the annual Health Week.
  • Advise Congregations to organize and organize health talks, health screenings/ checks and physical fitness exercises.
  • Undertake programmes that enhance entrepreneurship and self-employment.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.

COMMITTEE ON FINANCE

Chairperson:

Catechist Mercy Abankwa

Functions

  • Ensure the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure the submission of yearly audited accounts.
  • Advise Session opportunities. on investment
  • Advise Session on and assist in ensuring proper financial record keeping and proper financial management by all Congregations, Preaching Points and recognized groups.
  • Liaise with the Committee on Administration and Human Resource Management to preserve and maintain the property of the District.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.

COMMITTEE ON ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Chairperson:

Mr. Peter Aniagyei

Functions

  • Advice the District Session on Strategic planning and management of the District.
  • Advise on recruitment matters and Conditions of Service of staff in the District.
  • Ensure the preservation and maintenance of the property of the Church.
  • Advise on the keeping of Proper Statistics in the District.
  • Ensure the training of Personnel of the church in the District.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.

COMMITTEE ON MISSION AND EVANGELISM

Chairperson:

Rev. Theophilus Odonkor

Functions

  • Help plan and undertake evangelistic activities.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to groups on their evangelistic programmes.
  • Promote prayer and the study of the Bible, and the interest of the youth in evangelistic activities.
  • Identify areas that demand specialized ministry and pursue programmes to provide same.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.

COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION

Chairperson:

Mr. Ebenezer Kotei

Functions

  • Advise on how to assist the Church's institutions in practical ways.
  • Help run non-formal education and/or adult literacy programmes.
  • Pursue interventions that promote discipline in the Church's institutions.
  • Promote the involvement of parents in the life and work of the Church's institutions.
  • See to the teaching of the Christian Faith and the Presbyterian Heritage in the Church's institutions and the observance of the annual Education and Heritage Weeks.
  • Help identify and encourage writers of Christian literature.
  • Perform any other functions as may be directed by the District Session.
